STORY TRAIL AT VITALE PARK

The Livonia Public Library’s Story Walk consists of 16 separate kiosks placed around Vitale Park. Individual pages from children’s stories are placed under weather-proof panels so visitors can read them as they stroll along the path. The Story Walk was introduced to the park in 2022 as a permanent installation. Library staff rotates titles out every month.

CAMP STELLA MARIS

For almost 100 years, Camp Stella Maris has been a home away from home for campers to try new things, challenge themselves, and make friends that will last a lifetime. Campers unplug for the week and experience the excitement of an entire summer in just six days. Overnight campers sleep in one of 21 cabins while Day Campers share the facilities during the day. Shaving cream wars, mudslides, and campfires are some classic activities that campers are sure to love!

 

CAMP CHERITH

Camp Cherith offers a variety of camps for boys and girls based on camper ages and interests. Campers make life-long memories while developing lasting friendships with peers and staff. Programs include resident camp, day camp, mini camp, horse camp, and more. Tree climbing is Camp Cherith's tallest adventure! Climb safely up to 40 feet in the trees using a rope and pulley system. Tree climbing is available to the public on specific dates (reservations required).

 

LETCHWORTH STATE PARK

Take the whole crew camping at Letchworth State Park, where you’ll find over 250 wooded campsites (many with electricity) and 81 cabins. Camping sites can accommodate tents or RVs. In the park, you can enjoy dramatic Genesee River gorge views, waterfalls, hiking, and swimming at the Harvey Swimming Pool. Dine at the Glen Iris Inn, explore the Humphrey Nature Center, and wander one of the park’s most unique features, the Autism Nature Trail.
