Transportation

Driving is the most popular form of transportation in the Genesee River Valley. The roads are calm, with stunning views drawing you from place to place. You’ll forget about traffic jams, although you may occasionally find yourself behind a tractor. Parking is easy and free throughout our nine villages.

But if you’re heading our way via air, bus, or railway, we have tips on that too.

Located on the western edge of the Finger Lakes, Livingston County is just a short drive from the three major cities of Upstate New York. Rochester (ROC) is the closest city, just 30 minutes north of Geneseo on highway 390. Buffalo (BUF) is 70 minutes west, while Syracuse (SYR) is 90 minutes east. All three cities have an airport, bus station, and train station to make getting here easy.
