Leicester

Known as the Little Village with a Big Heart. Leicester radiates small-town charm. Prior to settlement and incorporation in the 19th century, Leicester was once a major stronghold of the Seneca. The town was organized in 1802 and named after Leicester Phelps, an early town resident. The town lost residents throughout the 19th century as newer towns grew, including Mount Morris in 1813. Today, Leicester is home to Fede’s Scoops, Gatherings at the Depot, and Trail Otter.
