Nine festivals in celebration of public art and creativity.
Community murals transform blank building walls into a centerpiece, an easily identifiable meeting spot or a place to grab a picture with a friend.
This summer, nine murals will be created over the course of three weeks in nine villages by world-class artists. But these artists won’t simply paint and leave. The LivCo Walls Mural Festival is a celebration of artistic beauty, community, and the power of coming together.
Hosted in collaboration with Livingston County Economic Development and the consulting services of Alexandra Hall of AH Public Spaces, the LivCo Walls Mural Festival reimagines what our public spaces can be. In addition to the artists creating these pieces, the LivCo Walls Festival will span multiple days of celebration and community togetherness.
Each of the murals will be revealed to the public with a dedication ceremony, a day of art demonstrations, live performances, food, vendors, and family fun.
Saturday, July 9th
LIMA
Mural Dedication at 1PM
Start the day at the Lima Farmers' Market and continue the festivities with an exciting scavenger hunt, live music, food, and interactive art displays.
CALEDONIA
Mural Dedication at 3PM
Interactive art activities are the name of the game at the Caledonia celebration with live music, local food, and beer tent joining in the afternoon.
AVON
Mural Dedication at 5PM
Sidewalk chart art accompanies the mural celebration in Avon, along with live music, food from local restaurants, vendor sales, and plenty of fun for the kids.
Saturday, July 16th
LIVONIA
Mural Dedication at 1PM
Celebrations kick-off in front of the mural with live music, interactive art demonstrations, local food vendors, and plenty of fun for kids.
LEICESTER
Mural Dedication at 3PM
Continue the celebrations in Leicester with a chicken BBQ, live music, and plenty of family fun. Stop by the local businesses for public art demonstrations.
GENESEO
Mural Dedication at 5PM
Be a part of public art with interactive murals, carvings, paintings, and drawings at the Geneseo celebration. Enjoy live music from local artists, lawn games, chalk art, and food and drink.
Saturday, July 23rd
MOUNT MORRIS
Mural Dedication at 1PM
Enjoy an afternoon visiting the shops of Mount Morris, as well as food trucks, sidewalk sales, live music, local artist demonstrations, and kids activities all afternoon.
NUNDA
Mural Dedication at 3PM
A farmers' market and art gallery tour kick off the Nunda celebrations along with art demonstrations, live music, the chance to paint a piano, and plenty of food and drink options.
DANSVILLE
Mural Dedication at 5PM
Life-size fairy doors, blocks of sidewalk art, and interactive crafting, enjoy Dansville celebrations all day with local restaurants, live music, vendors, and impromptu poems.
